1. ‘Cracker’ performances at festive event

On Saturday 29th December 2012, a record number of Larne AC members participated in the 29th running of the Castlewellan Christmas Cracker in County Down.

The popular event requires runners to pair up and race as a team, with the added stipulation that you must cross the finish line together. 3. Carnfunnock Handicap

Nobody needs me to tell them that the course was the same as in previous years, that the weather was indifferent, that there was a bit of climbing and descending, that some runners were faster than others, etc, etc, so as I was sitting at the computer with fingers poised above the keyboard I thought, why not just make something up? So here’s a report on the perfect handicap race.
