Larne AC support MS Run for Research

On Sunday 2nd April Larne AC members took on the 10k and half marathon races at the inaugural MS Run for Research NI at the Holywood Exchange Retail Park. The half marathon event is also a part of the Pure Running Half Marathon Series. A guaranteed percentage of entry fees go to the MS Society UK to help find a much needed cure and to support people living with MS. Conditions were windy and cold but thankfully the welcome sun was shining throughout the event.

Based on provisional results madman Davy Noble competing in his 2nd half marathon in two days finished in an impressive 7th place in 1:20:08.
Juliane Keane, passionate about the event as living with MS for over 15 years, finished with a PB of 1:46:21. Andrew Davidson was next home for the club with a PB of 1:53:39.

In the 10k event Martan Keane finished in 5th place overall with a PB of 37:30. Emmet Woods finished in 42:44, meriting him as first M50 to cross the line.

Well done to all the organisers and runners for making this important event a success.
