Ballymena Belles 5 miler 2017
On Tuesday 11th April, nine Larne AC ladies joined 335 entrants for the annual Ballymena Belles 5 mile road race. The well organised event hosted by Ballymena Runners was this year raising money for the Cancer fund for Children.
The course which starts in the village of Galgorm, takes on a gentle climb into Ahoghill and winds through the country roads before finishing back at Galgorm community centre.
First home for Larne and 17th place overall was Emma McKeen clocking a fantastic time of 37:462 continuing her great form the Larne half marathon
Next home for Larne was Julie Allen with a time of 38:35 23rd overall and a 3rd place in V45 category. Juile was follow home my Heather Baxter with another strong performance with a time of 40:53 in 50th position. Teresa Evans was next in for the club with a time of 41:37 in 58th position.
Susan Nicholson produced a super performance with a time 44:44 in 101st position, next home was Emily Boal with another great run 46:29 in 130th position. Follow in by Sharon Bell with a great time of 47:15 in 149th position.
Laura Brennan claim 2nd in the junior age category with fantastic time of 47:41, Follow home with Shiree Brennan in 166th position with a time of 48:05, next home for the club was Gail Montgomery with a brilliant run and time of 50:34 in 211st positions.
Larne AC would like to thank Ballymena Runners for yet another well organised and highly enjoyable event. The Belles really did run the town!
