Dublin 2 Belfast Ultra Marathon
On Friday 21st April, Thomas Craig completed an ultra marathon consisting of 107 miles from Dublin to Belfast. Organised by Atlas Running, the event started at the Guinness Factory (Dublin) at 11am and finished at the Crown Bar (Belfast).
Competitors were given a route to follow and had to navigate their way through many towns and villages from the south to the north of Ireland with a cut off time of 36 hours. These included Swords, Balbriggan, Drogheda, Dunleer, Dundalk, Newry, Banbridge, Dromore, Hillsborough, Lisburn, Dunmurry, and finishing in Belfast.
Running throughout the day and night, Thomas had an excellent run and from a field of 25 runners, he finished very strong in 2nd position overall with an official time of 22hrs 38mins
