Newry Half Marathon

On Sunday 28th May, Two Larne AC runners travelled to Newry for the annual Newry Marathon race day; this included the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, relay and walk. The prestige event celebrated 10 years of sporting excellence in the city. Mark Todd and Andrew Davidson represented Larne AC in the Half Marathon part of the Pure Running Half Marathon Series, which also included the Larne Half Marathon.

On what was favourable conditions, the half marathon took on an out and back course with a hill climb around the 7 mile mark with the remainder of the course being flat.

Mark Todd was first male home for the club finished with a time of 1:41:38 in 115th place, Great running by Mark who was completing in the Ballyclare May Fair 10K on Saturday. Next in for Larne AC was Andrew Davidson with another Personal best of 1:51:48 in 227th position, This was his 3rd improvement this year at this distance for Andrew,
