Lisburn Half Marathon/10k 2017

On Wednesday 21st of June, 8 Larne AC athletes joined approximately 6,500 others for the annual 10k/Half Marathon organised by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council. With the recent heatwave and temperatures in the mid-20s, running conditions were tough despite both courses being relatively flat and fast. In the Half Marathon Mark Todd was first home with a time of 1:47.13 in 306th place. Next home was Steven Gilliland with a time of 1:58.54 in 587th, closely followed by Andrew Davidson with a time of 1:59.17 in 609th place. Ricky Mann suffered from illness early in the race but bravely continued and finished with a time of 2:12.54 in 932nd place

In the 10k first home for the club was Sean Mcallister with a time of 40:53 in 47th place. Next home was Thomas Morrow with a time of 42:14, 75th place. Karl Simpson finished with a time of 56:44 in 627th place, and David Mitchell finished with a time of 1.04.15, in 1187th place.

Well done to the guys from Larne AC and all the runners taking part in Lisburn.
