Rathlin 10 mile run
On Saturday 26th August, Larne AC member had four runners’ joins 300+ hundred athletes and spectators descended on Rathlin Island, approximately 6 miles off the coast of Ballycastle, for the annual Rathlin Run.
In good running conditions, albeit slightly warm, the runners set off on the tough undulating 10 mile route, which would see them reach the island’s west light house and RSPB Centre, before making their way back to the atmospheric start/finish area at Church Bay.
David Noble was first Larne AC runner in 4th position winning M40 age category with a time of 01:04:05, Next home was Dom Dorris carry a leg injury had a great run finishing 78th with a time of 01:26:44, Dom was follow in my Ralph Lavery in 99th position with a time of 1:31:20. The only Larne AC female running in the event was Jennifer Mulvenna who had a great run finish in 147th with a time of 01:47:32
