Omagh Half Marathon

The 29th Omagh Half Marathon took place on Saturday, 7 April. Four members of Larne AC traveled to Tyrone to join approximately 1,800 other runners on an undulating course around the the town and surrounding countryside.

In unfamiliarly warm conditions of late, Wayne Morrow put in a great run to claim a top 50 spot. Wayne finished in 49th place in a time of 1:23:25; also placing 9th in the M35 category.

Thomas Morrow was the second Larne AC man home in 156th place, narrowly missing a PB, in 1:31:08, but registering a great result nonetheless.

Mark Todd didn’t enjoy the conditions (and probably keeping something in reserve for the TQ10K on Sunday), still ran solidly to come home in a time of 1:51:53.

Dom Dorris continued his return from injury, pacing a friend round to a sub-two hour time of 1:56:57.

Thank you to Omagh Harriers for organizing a smoothly run event, excellently marshaled and well catered afterwards.
