Great Dundrum Run
On Saturday 20th October a large contingent of 22 athletes from Larne AC headed to Dundrum to compete with 900+ other athletes in the scenic Great Dundrum run, an 8 mile race which takes runners along coastal roads, board walks and a gruelling 2 mile stretch along Murloch beach.
First home for the club and 1st place Junior was Jordan Heron in a time of 50:39 three minutes faster than this time last year, which seen Jordan get a fantastic 10th position overall, next with another great run was Phelim McAllister in 12th position with a time of 50:52 Phelim getting 2nd in the M35 age Category. Sean McAllister was in with a time of 54:43 and 2nd in the M55 and position of 32 overall. Just following Sean was Nigel Kane getting 3rd in M50 age category with a great time of 54:49 and 33rd overall. Next in for the club in 50th place was Gerry Campbell with a time of 56:18. Following Gerry was John Agnew with a 3rd place in M60 Category 63 position overall and a time of 56:56. Also breaking the one hour was Bobby Boal was next in 58:10. Next home for Larne AC was John Steel with a time of 1:02:39 in a position of 151st First Female home for the club and currently in great form was Emma McKeen with a time of 1:03:00 and 3rd in F35 age Category.
